Forget the weight. Install a nice system in your car and just have the HorsePower to back it up.

just add some nos stickers and stuff and then you'll have the horsepower to back it up. haha just joking. but ya you could do the fiberglass fenders, hood, trunck lid?, etc. aluminum block, aluminum heads, etc. rear seat delete and get rid of your spare tire, jack, etc. if you haven't done so. gut our your interior and have a patch of carpet on the drivers side and there you lost a lot of weight lol. good luck!

No joke, a good set of aluminum heads will knock off around 40-50 lbs and add a good 30-50 horsepower.... problem solved. Oh by the way I have done all bolt on's no heads or cam (373 gear) and I am running in the high 13's!
I would also like to add that I am doing a 150 shot this week so we will see what i run then!

BTW, I just looked at some base curb weights on Edmunds....

90LX Notch=2760
90GT Hatch=2847
95GT=3280

None of those are verts and are w/o liquids (gas, coolant, oil, washer fluid, etc)

those numbers are way off on all those cars. i would say lx notch is around (depending on options) 3100 stock, lx hatch 3150 and the gt hatch is probably around 3220. the sn95's are closer to 3400+. i know you said thats without liquids but gas, oil and coolant cant add 350# to a car. i wish my notch weighed 2760 stock.

My '84 H/B was 3177 shipping.
Ford says so.
The later cars are all heavier than that.....

That's cool...I was just going by Edmunds. Not many places to find specs for older cars. A couple of people need to go weigh their stock cars and then we'd know for sure.

My 92 GT weighs 3040 with Draglites, on empty, without me in it. Weighed it at Virginia Motorsports Park Sept. 16. My friend had a steel head engine in his 94' and his weighed 3480 without him in it, Rodlites, and no gas.
