Ahh, thanx. That explains it. I was looking at their specs, but I was looking at their baseline model, which is only an inline 4. I think it was only 2.4L.

Hmmmmmmmm....gears and dont spin too hard and you should take him. Your a few hundred pounds less and have about 45lb/tq more... but he has about an extra 50hp. I think it would be a pretty close race stock for stock but once you get gears you will take him.

^agreed, and seeing how you both are teens you should go to a test and tune so you dont kill someone!

But yea, take your time in modding, in the future you'll have a car thats worth more money, faster, and mush more respected, vs. a bought ride.

hell yea, deff go w. stock and build it yourself, so much more feeling of acomplishment. and something you can drive around proudly. and i cant bust on him for already thinking of mods before having the car... i did the same thing, lol.

You can make up some of the lost HP for free. Just advance your timing. By advancing it from 10 degrees to 16 degrees, you will gain 18 - 24 HP. Just make sure to run premium gas when you do this. Other than the gas, this is free power!
