it's just how metal is... the stronger a metal is the less dexteraty (flexability) it has, there for the easier it is to crack it.... talk to any GOOD welder they'll tell ya that it's better to use a filler rod thats slightly weaker but has higher dexterity

thats a HUGE variable... what are the plans for the car, planed power outage or 1/4 time... then that all depends on how good of a driver you car... my tranny teacher has a mis 10's turbo car and a mid 11's blower car both running stock t-5's and he just built a new car it's a 306 with a 250shot for the street and a 500 shot for the track and it's also got a t-5 he has no idea what the motor makes (hasn't had time to syno the car yet)or what it'll run in the 1/4 we'll find out when the track opens
