To those with temp gauges...
Just wondering what temps your aftermarket water temp gauges reach in hot weather. Today it was like 80 something degrees, and my needle would occasionally reach what looked like 202 degrees, before suddenly cooling off back down to 195 or so. I have a recent oem style radiator, and a stock thermostat. Are these normal temps to reach in hot weather under moderate to harduse?
Oh, one more question: I think I may have overfilled my cooling system while the weather was cool, because now that it's hot outside, the water level in my overflow tank gets too high sometimes, and spills out of the overflow hole. Could this be contributing to my engine temps?

Thats very normal i think anyway. Read that 255 is the magic number to worry about overheating, so your pretty far away. My cars runs no hotter the 200 in the summer, which is great i thought

Thanks fellas. Yeah, it's at least 80 here. I had to rock the A/C, which I believe was contributing to the higher running temps. Anyway, I wasn't too worried because the temperature was being regulated by something. What I mean is, it would get to like exactly the same temp...at least 200...and then suddenly cool down to 195, and start the cycle over again. At any rate, thanks for the info, fellas.
