i was checking the dizzy out again and if you take the cap off and then remove the "shroud" underneath it, you can see a magnet inside the dizzy towards the back of it. my magnet can be pushed back and forth and side to side very easily and if you spin the dizzy it hits up against the spinning "fan" that the rotor attaches to.

is that supposed to happen?

ok. there was a broken magnet way inside the distributor. i didn't even notice it until i finally pulled it out.

got a new one (100 bucks) and i'm back on the road..

after all that it was something so simple[:@]
