Oddly, I guess if 5.0s had been called 4.9s all along, it would sound normal, and "5.0" would sound silly.

pi(piston radius)^2X 3 inch piston stroke X 8cylinders = 301.592895 ci.
pi(2)^2x3x8 = 301.592895

You can multiply ci by 0.016387064 to get how many liters that equals.
301.592895 X 0.016387064 = 4.94222207 liters

With my ragtop up so my hair looks fine? But you're right...and I'm sure Ford took that into consideration when designing the 5.0.

Thanks for the compliment, LTnone. I like the whole car so much more now. I'm always peeking out the windows of buildings now so I can see them. 2nd best upgrade I've done so far...after gears, of course.

Next, I'd like to replace both bumpers, and black out the windows. It'll look good then.

ill let you in on a little secret, I broke down a 305 and a 302 u see both in my pics, new motors in each

they look dam near the same shortblock wise
