Boosted5.slow

all right so on my 89 5.0 5spd i posted the othere day it was haveing problems wanting to go into gear.Everyone determend that it might be the trans.so i did some trouable shooting and found out that it was something to do with the clutch cable or something.today i go out and drive and i get on it. and slow down to a stop and it goes into to first with no problem same with reset of gears.clutch pedal feels little bit firmer from the day before. i drove around for like 30min trying to get it to not go in gear but it seems to be working for now. i also but the summit clutch adjuster kit. but i dont want to put it in unless i have to. anyone have any ideas?
