Yes they are worth it. Most aluminum flywheels come with a steel insert. The insert is where the clutch rides so they is the same amount of wear as with a steel flywheel with out the weight. We have one backed with an aluminum drive shaft and the car will zing some rpms pretty quick for a V8. It'll hit 6000 in one second if youre already going about 2500-3000. Im glad we put one in. makes it much funner to drive.
That I didn't know. I bet those are pretty pricy though. I would still just get a lightend one. Aluminum and steel expand at diffrent rates...i just see problems happening later.

There are lots of Ferrous sleeves in Al. blocks...

ha touche! I guess i am in the wrong...again. lol joel5.0 is jumpin my **** about a cam comment i made awihle ago too. anyone know what one of those things costs?
