Default did i goof......mass air

ok, i purchased a 80mm mass air calibrated for 30lb injectors about 2 months ago (off of ebay)and i had not even looked until today, i have a 91gt, the writing on the side says calibration for a 96gt /30lb injectors, do i need to sell it and get a different one? also it has a flat back to bolt something to its not a front and rear circle like my original.
thanks

yeah, that is the wrong calibration for your 91 computer...

Selling it is a good option, just make sure you let the buyer know what it really is...

No don't sell it... just check out Late Model Restoration and get the right calibration tube for your car.

Actually Adder,
The newb has a point...

If it is a C&L meter the sample tube can be changed, and the MAS (sensor) can be swapped for a Fox MAS.

That is assuming we are talking about a C&L meter though...

If it is a PMAS (or anything other than C&L), then you are still out of luck.

Sorry I didn't think to ask that sooner...

If its a C&L meter, the entire sensor could be changed, which would be the ONLY way it would work.. however, I would be willing to bet that since it is from a 4.6l motor, the values in the transfer would be vastly different and could not be installed without a EEC re-flash. Sorta like using a lightning maf

Since it is NOT a C&L meter, it will not work.

Good Luck,
