Notch

RE: Notch
well, being the owner of a 1990 lx 5.0 H.O notchback and a lover of cars in general i would have to say that "and this is in my opinion" hatchbacks in all cars that are available with them always seemed to have been the uncool soccer/pta mommy/granny kinda cars. I just never saw any cooler person driving a hatchback of any make or model. Now just for the ****s and giggles of it, it is a mustang which is the only redeeming factor of it. Plus if you go to EBAY and try to find a notchback, people treat them like they are a rare commodity to be found rarely and acting as if they are worth the world. but the hatchbacks are a dime a dozen...found everywhere....lets face it as a very important person put it....in 1990 there were only a little over 1200 notchbacks made, where hatchbacks had well over 3400 made the same year. go figure...lol

RE: Notch
it would be sad to see you sell it, but if you are really set on gettiing rid of it for something else, then selling it seems to be the better idea. You can ask for the value of the car that way and maybe someone that has a real love for the notchback, as i do, has a chance at owning it. It needs love from someone that wants it. So yeah, i would say that selling it is a great choice and you might be surprised that you get more out of it that way. To be able to get what you really want and some extras added on to boot!

RE: Notch
The notch is lighter and may be a little better. I have a hatch and I love it but wouldnt mind a notch either. as for a body kit that is just weight that isnt needed. Not going faster with weight. If looks are important then go ahead and get a body kit (not a stock GT kit) put it on either one it would look nice either way. I would go with the one that has less miles runs better and maybe has the most mods. save money if you can!!!

RE: Notch
This is really a pointless debate. Reminds me of Plymouth vs Dodge arguements.
Had a hatch, now have a notch. I get more compliments on the notch. Love the profile of a notch but miss the interior space of the hatch. For true everyday use, hatchback.
