Default Head gasket size?

I have asked this question before and I will ask it again and hopefully get few answers. What is the deal with all the different bores for head gaskets. I understand you need a different size if your boring out a motor. But stock is 4.1 for a head gasket size for the 5.0 . Now what if i put a 4.08 or a 4.165 bore gasketon? Would these work? would it be better to have a smaller or bigger bore gasket?

Default RE: Head gasket size?

I wouldn't run a "big bore" gasket with a regular bore size.
