Default Hood pin, bit size

I'm about to install the Ford Racing Hood pins. What size bit would be best to use on both the supports and the hood? Thanks.

Default RE: Hood pin, bit size

I dont remember what size I used. Maybe 1/2", compare the the stud to your bits and use the smallest size you can fit the pin through. You can always used washers on the supports, and the hood pins come with scratch pads. Come to think of it, you can use the scratch pad to find the correct bit, just use the largest bit that will fit in the hole of the scratch pad.
