brake and clutch pedal
howdy,
ok, this isnt that big of a deal, but i want to fix it. when i release my brake pedal, it makes a squeaking sound everytime and its really annoying, and i don't know what the problem is. also, when i release the clutch pedal, it makes this weird popping sound and it feels like that feeling of when a spring is out of alignment or bent, if yall know what i'm talking about. any clues here???
thanks,
jeff

RE: brake and clutch pedal
Does your clutch have any movement side to side?. If so you need new plastic bushings. I would spray some WD-40 on the pedals where they move, just try not to spray the brake switch.

RE: brake and clutch pedal
Not trying to jump your post but.. I have a little question myself about pedels. In a 86 stang is the clutch pedel spose to sit realy high like 5 inches above the brake almost at the dash lmao. I see a metel tube type stoper thingy lmao and its bent @ a 90 degree angle i think if i bent it strait my clutch will sit flush with the brake. Odd thing is it looks factory bent mabey something spose to be on it ?? Thanx all
To add to your post brake pedle spray it down with good old wd-40 in all the moveing spots. As for the clutch sounds like you cable may be frayed somewhere and catching.
