I just got a upr clutch cable kit. the quadrant and the firewall adjuster are in but now im trying to intstall the cable.i grinded the teeth down on the plastic end of the cable but do i have to grind it down more so that little silver metal piece will fit over it??? it just looks like there wont be any little plastic piece left after i do that.....

physically lift the clutch pedal up and the cable should have enough length to pop into place. i have never dealt with the UPR kit, but i am sure you arent supposed to be grinding on anything.

I have never used the upr kit, but with the factory ford cable you have to grind the 4 plastic tabs down so that you can take the rubber peice off of the cable entirely to get it to fit into the firewall adjuster. i also had to file the largest part down around the outside of the plastic end of the cable (the part were the rubber peice butts up against it)to get it to slide into my firewall adjuster. hope that helped.
