With my first hand experence, it will work. Me and my bro-in-law just put that set up in his car (f-cam 1.7s) he has a 93 coupe. The only problem is that the stock valve springs seem a bit weak at higher rpms.

[align=left]It will not work. My friend wouldnt listen to us and he put an F cam in with 1.7 and broke valves cause they were hitting the pistons. You can only go up to I think .520 lift with stock bottom ends.

The duration doesn't matter as much as you guys think. Its the overlap that matters. If the valve is opening as the piston is coming up then your gonna smack the valve.
The only way to really know if its gonna work is degree the cam, check proper pushrod length and rocker geometry then check piston to valve clearance. I think its .080 clearance on the intake side at minimum and .1 on the exhaust.
