ok currently have code #41 and can hear a exhaust leak when accel. just need to know if anyone had there headers cracked ? is there a gasket the goes between the header and exhaust pipe?and would removing your smog pump (pluging your vaccum lines)would cause code#41.


also i just installed bbk x pipe with cats and flowmaster cat back system so everything back from headers is not leaking.

my stock manifold actually has a crack in it right now.
i need to get some shorties.
but can u hear the leak when ur idleing and under acceleration, but when u let off the gas it goes away?
if so thats what mine are doing.
and i dont think theres a gasket between the headers and the x pipe.
not sure about the smog pump question tho.

there is no gasket between the header and the h-pipe. check your header bolts. they are notorious for backing out if theres no threadlock on them. Removing the smog pump should not give u a code. but did you plug the line from your h-pipe to the smog pump? might be an exhaust leak there...

yes i plug the pipe off the x pipe.already installed gasket and check bolts for header (to the head).also can hear at idle. has anyone besides ctgreddy had a cracked header.
