fuel feed problem
ok guys i need some help eliminating the possibilities of this problem. tonight my car ran great down the track but down at the end it spuddered a little but caught up and ran back to the staging lanes. my second pass it spuddered badly and died at the end of the track. it started 2 more times but ran as if the mass air was unplugged but it was fine. after that it wouldnt start at all and even with the key on it i had no fuel pressure on the rail. heres the kicker though, the pump is still engaging when the key comes is turned on but making a higher than normal squeeling noise. i figured fuel pump but when i got home it cranked up and ran fine with no problems. anyone else have this problem? thing is i have to try to get it fixed for the races tommorow!!!!

RE: fuel feed problem
Run the car with a fuel pressure gauage even though you hear the pump running it may be locking up intermitently or a blockage it the system If I suspect a fuel delivery problem at high rpm's I have a long lead on my fuel pressure tester where I can tape it to the windshield . go out and flog it with it set up like this and watch to see if pressure drops off. could be a failing pump or restriction in the system like partially plugged filter
