1988 GT 5.0 HO ENGINE #S
I recently acquired 88 GT5 speed 5.0 HO wanting to verify it is actually 5.0, local machinist told the heads may not be HO but out of a truck? where can I get engine and head # info like to find out before i start building with wrong parts. need to know where and what #s and where i can go to verify. THANX roy

well, for starters, you should tell us what you plan on doing to it. If your gonna rip the heads off anyway, you should just throw them away.
If you do pull the heads off, measure the cylinder bores, they should be 4". There are a bunch of other ways to tell... but im definitly fried right now.
