unbolt the motor mounts and jack up under the oil pan(use a block of wood inbetween the jack and the pan)
you may have to undo the steering shaft for clearance.
after you have raised the motor a good 4-5 inches, stick 2 blocks of wood inbetween the frame and the motor mounts, to hold it where it is.
presto chango.
after that, undo all the pan bolts.
then undo the pickup tube. 2 bolts hold it to the pump, 1 nut holds it to the #3 main cap.
the pickup will drop into the pan.
you should now have clearance to remove the pan. it WILL take some wiggling, don't be discouraged. it will come eventually.

I had my pump seaze up on me and twist the shaft off. The way I did it was loosen the motor mount's and jack the motor up as high as it will go then I put a 2x4 with a block on each endacross the strut towers and changed the motor to it. Then I marked everything to keep it alignedand droped the front suspensionand took of the pan and replaced mine it was pretty easy this way itonly took about 2 hours total but thats with air tools, it was alot easier then pulling the motor if u ask me.
