emissions?? pahhlease
i wanna pull all my air pump, smog, egr crap off my car,its a daily driver, andwhere i live emissions isn't really a problem so i wanna do it right, and pull it all off...lol...what do yall think? will the car run like sh**? what kinda problems do you think i'll be runnin into...better yet who's done this before?...haha...any advice or help would be great! thanks guys

just pulled mine off this weekend. made an egr blockoff plate at work. put screw in vacuum hoses. turned aspirator plates backwards and reinstalled them. and welded the plug from the egr tube to the exhaust manifold .runs great. its at the shop now and they are welding the hole in the h pipe, installing electric water pump...etc..

Guys,
How much power do you expect to gain by removing the smog pump? Maybe 2 HP? I doubt you would even gain that much.
Do you guys know what the thermactor system does? Before you do something you may regret, please take a look at the following post.

If you don't have catalytic converters then no problem. They are not there to get damaged :-)
I am not sure whether or not the EEC does engage the thermactor systemon down revs or not ,still investigating that.
If it does, in order to lean out the exhaust, a side effect of not having the smog pump may be having somebackfiring (richmixture igniting in the exhaust)
