hey i was wonderin if any has ever painted their wheels? i have the gray bullets with the machined lip and just put a new black convt. top on....i seen a car just like mine with the black bullets and was thinkin why spend the extra money for a new set of wheels when i had a buddy that painted some enkie wheels for his cobra...i would ask him but he moved...and no long have contract with him...has anyone done it...and what are the supplies and steps you took?

I dont know why you couldnt paint the wheels. I painted my car myself. The best bet is to have them powder coated, lasts forever and easy to clean. It wont scratch either. But, that will not work if you want to keep the machined lip. Do you have any painting experience? Prep is the worst part of painting. What type of finish are they now?

light sand with 200 grit, clean with wax and grease remover , any enamel spray paint several light coats will work if you dont have a hvlp, several coats of clear will help with scratches. ive done several sets, and they always turn out great. my advice is TAKE YOUR TIME!!!! your stuck with the results, so do it right the first time.
