Default timming marks

I wanted to check what my timming was at but when I looked on the balancer for the markings I couldn't find any. It is really rusted and im confused on what to do. Any help would be appreciated.

you can just scrape it down too, then use chlk, crayon or whatever......rub it on, wipe it off, the light color will stay in the grooves

Clean it up, then spray it with wd-40, the marks will shine so much it will hurt your eyes lol. Maybe not that bright, but it does pretty good.

Use nome 120 grit emery cloth, It will do the jod in half the time of sos pads. No, you dont have to worry about sanding off the timing marks because they are etched into the balancer. The emery cloth will remove the rust likedy split and your marks will pop out because they will still e the darker color from the rust. Then just mark the number you want it set to and voila! Don't forget to remove the spout!
