Default Manual steering swap?

Anyone with a manual steering swap? I am considering a Flaming River 18:1 ratio swap. Just looking for someone with this to post some opinions. The car is not a daily driver but I would like it to have some street manners. I like to drive to the strip and would love to make this car fun for a trackday also. Thanks all!

i have the 18:1 rack from flaming river on my daily driver. no complaints, its a good piece. no problems steering at all. with a standard sized tire itll take a little work to make turns as slow speeds but i run a 165 tire in the front so its really easy

just installed the flaming river rack and shaft also. not bad except at slow speeds , and parking. not bad when moving. my car is not a daily driver though. if it was i would not recomend it. but thats my opinion , you dont realize how nice power steering is till its gone.

I installed a Flaming River manual system last year.
I had never done one in my life.
Took about 2.5 hours in my home garage, no special tools needed.
I run 165 on my car (drag car) and I think it's great......

I am actually considering swapping to manual steering as well, but I will be running 245's all the way around. I'f figuring that it may just be a bit too much for a car that will probably never see a drag strip.
