Default Lower intake gasket help!

My lower intake gaskets finally arrived so I can complete my build. One thing, they are not what I thought they was. They are for a 302, gt40heads & intake. I purchased Felpro 1262. These are for 86-93 5.0 w/aftermarket heads w/o heat crossover, 2.10 x 1.28 port size. Here is the problem or what I think is, the end ports which I believe is for the coolant, is not a complete opening. Its like the upper lefthand corner is solid with a hole in it. Is this to reduce coolant flow? I can't post a pic now because my camera battery is dead. I decided on these gaskets from latemodel restoration. There picture of the gaskets was spot on to what came off,but they wereon unknown back order. So I ordered the same from CJ ponyparts, Felpro 1262, but they are different. I looked them up in the magazine and they were pictured exactly how I recieved them. Two different gaskets same part number? I'm lost.

Here are a couple of pics of the new intake gaskets I got. You can see the the end coolant port is not solid open. What came off my car was. Also these gaskets are without heat crossover. I believe that is refering to the center of the gasket? My old one had a big circle out of it in the middle of the center holes. Any knowledge would be appreciated.

its a design difference between GT-40 heads and stock heads... its not a big deal at all... if you dont have a bolt there, just cut that tab off so it doesnt break off and go floating away into the motor

Thanks, what about the middle section? My old gaskets had the heat crossover and the new ones don't. By cutting out the tab on the water passage, will this affect sealing?

Should I leave the center section or cut it out for the heat crossover?
