well..after 109K miles..my aode finally took a ****....happend the other night as i was comin home...i went to leave town and got all over it and lost overdrive...let off it shifted down to third...and try to get goin again..and overdrive wont engage anymore....so i drove home about 50 mph...3K rpm cuz my gears.....got home parked the car..went to bed...get up next day go to drive it around and notice a little slip in between 1 and 2...so...put it in first...hammer on it and it just starts slippin and feels like the car is bouncin but goin hardly anywhere...try 2 and same thing...3 is the only gear where its fine....so..my question is..i got a buddy with a 95 aode and he already has a t5 he wants to swap in but has been puttin it off....the other night if i wanted to buy his aode itd make him get his act together and swap it ...so he told me he'd sell me the aode for 300....i figure 300 for a tranny that is in normal condition..then id buy a transgo shift kit for 120...and put that in and swap the trannys....anyone think i need anything else to make it perform better ...it doesnt hardly ever see the track so a higher stall doesnt really matter to me..but i figure for around 500 itd be a pretty good performing tranny and with the little mods i have to my car itd last pretty long....any one see anything wrong with the plan?

$300. for a good aode is a steal, my tranny rebuild was $2,300. and it still haven problems.

o god, i have had a bad taste w/ my aode so far. i beat on it for a while w/ my 331 and it started to slip in 2nd.
so i spent $2,155 to have it rebuilt w/ better clutches, custom tq. converter, and they chnaged the valve body pressures so it shifts harder. will 401miles later, i drive it down the road and i got a whine sound and it it no go into any gear. few days lateri get the whine but it holds the gear, so i just parked it. the whine is coming from the pump, its dead or somethings clogging and its not feeding oil.

i live in georgetown texas and have an aode that was in my 94 for like 4 months then i swaped to a t5, new torque converter, and a b&m shift kit, the tranny is a raptor transmission, only asking $400.00 my number is 512-948-5634 if your interested.
