Default SINGING REAR END


Replaced inner pinion bearing, bearing race, outer pinion bearing, outer race, and is still singing away. Is this
common for the 5.0 stock differential? Any suggestions to quiet it down.

has it always made noise? the noise usually comes from a bad gear pattern. you checked the pinion depth and backlash right? if they are used gears you may never get it to stop making noise even with a good backlash and pinion depth.

did you change the gears around? sounds like you missed a shim somewhere. either your pinion depth isnt right or your backlash is off or both
