Think i'm very lean!!!!
Well today i decided to change spark plugs beacuse my old ones were burnt up and white. I have been having all sorst of issues with this car trying to get it to rev over 5,000 rpm and now i am determined its very lean. I put the new plugs in and went for a one hour cruise and came back to the house and pulled #1 plug out and it looked brand new and had no sign of fuel on it. I just replaced valve springs and distributor, and that made it run alot better but nothow its supposed to. Fuel pressure is 39 at idle with no vacuum and also looks good under load, but has a very hard time making past 5,000 rpm. In neutral it will rev to 6,000 at partial throttle and under WOT sputters back down to 5,000. Every sensor has been cleaned, showing no codes, and runs good down low, but it won't run good in high rpms?

IDK if it would put out codes...but if a cylinder isnt getting fuel while the others are.... I would check the injector and/or harness.
Are you sure there is no fuel coming to that cylinder? Take the spark plug wire off and turn on the engine. Then kill the engineandpull the plug, it should be wet with fuel. If not then u definatly arent getting fuel.
Also do u notice the engine not running smoothly? When a car is missing 1 cylinder it tends to be a pretty ****ty ride and right off the bat you would know somthing is wrong.
Just my humble opinion.

RE: Think i'm very lean!!!!
he wasnt sayin #1 was the only one "not getting fuel" he just said that he pulled #1 and thats how it was.. anyways. it cant be "one cylinder not getting fuel" because that would be a dead miss and he stated that it ran fine in lower rpms/idle but in upper rpms it cuts out. now.. as far as giving you a suggestion as to what the cause is.. the only thing i have experienced with something like that is the stator in the dizzy being bad. it is very common. mine did it along with a few other peoples i know over the years.i realize you just replaced the dizzy and all so i dont really know. I am not sure if there is any way you can look at fuel trims on a 91 or anything. i cant remember if i can even look at fuel trims on my 95 with a ngs or sbds but if you could look at them it would tell you if your suspicion as to running lean is correct. i dont know man. sorry

Yeah its not just #1, thats just the plug i pulled. When i replaced the distributor it definately helped how it was running but still not running right.
Well all the old spark plugs were very burnt looking with pits in them, and the top metal peice was very white and a couple of them were a little twisted and mis-shaped. I know what a spark plug should look like and these aren't right.
I replaced fuel filter about 2,000 miles ago but will swap out agian i guess.

If its burning right it should Have No signs of fuel on it, not in a hours drive. I would go back and check your timing.
