What size rear end is in my 95 Stang GT

What size rear end is in my 95 Stang GT
Is it an 8.8? My gears are the stock 2.73's and my dif cover is bent and leaks a bit. I want to upgrade to 3.73's and get a new plate and came across this...
"ford 8.8 out of a 97 explorer with 160,000km. It has disks, 31 spline shafts, 3.88 gears, and a posi lock. has all the ebrake cables, and brake lines, and the calipers.
Was going to put it into my YJ but never got around to it.

Would this work in my stang? and would the 3.88 gear ratio be pretty good?

ive seen a post about it before..but cant remember if it was the same width or not...but 3.88s??...never heard of that for a ford 8.8 rear end gear.. 3.55 3.73 n 4.10s...but nothin other than that around the number u said for a 8.8...
