First off, no matter how bad my car becomes, I will never sell it...... (allthough, im willing to trade my motor for a carb. 351!)

Ok, changed the fuel filter and the smoke has gone away. But its still having a problem running after I start. I have to rev it over 1g for about 5 mins to get the motor to not stall. I also am hearing a pop inside the motor, almost like its backfiring. My friend says he thinks its chocking out......

I will try the wire/cel light flash thingas soon as possible.....

allright, here are the numbers. this is how many times the cel light flashed inbetween pauses....

engine off- 2 2 2 2 1 2 2 5 12 2 5 1

engine on- 1 2 2 1 9 4 4 4 3 3

alright, i found this site that tells you what all the codes are....http://fordfuelinjection.com/index.php?p=14

found out that the egr sensor was having a problem.... found a broken vacuum line and now its a little better.

it also says there is a problem with the MAp/bp, so I will have to get some alcohol and clean the sensors off, and if not im going to have to buy a new one.

it also says the thermactor air injection system problem on both sides= NO CATS...... Im going to have to mod a o2 sensor....

It also says cannot control RPM durring ER self test at high rpm??????

Alright, just another update.

I pulled the valve covers off, tighened the head bolts. Tightened the lower intake bolts. Still nothing.....

Just for everone who reads this, you should buy a timing light first.

After spending 500-600 on all the parts, parts cleaner, tools, ect....My timing was retarded! Set it to 12 degreese, and now its fast and dosent backfire!!!!!!!!!

allthough a I got really good taking apart the upper intake, it was a pain in the rear!
