Oil leak from lower intake ?????
Hey guys i have a 91LX with upper and lower Trick Flow intake. i am getting a oil leak from the passenger side rear of the lower intake, and it running down the rear of the block( new gaskets) (no cracks!!). Anyone ever had this happen? i was wondering if maybe i should get rid of the gastket and just run RTV. Or just gastket and no RTV. Or gastets with RTV ????????
Thanks !!!
Thanks !!!

f!!! those gaskets.. I throw them away and run a nice thick bead of permatex's "THE RIGHT STUFF".....when I used to use the end gaskets..9 times out of ten they'd leak ftl!!!

RE: Oil leak from lower intake ?????
My stang had that issue with the stock manifold. When I replaced it with an Edlebrock, I used RTV and the little gasket they give. Been about a year and 1000 miles, no leaks yet. Couldn't hurt if you don't mind taking it apart again to dump RTV there. A mechanic told me that the oil leaking on the transmission eventually wouldruin the tranny. Not sure if he knew what he was talking about though.
