Mjr46 I need to borrow your knowledge for a minute if you dont mind. I just bought a motor out of an 86 mustang. It was originally in a bronce but they then put it in the stang. but it does have the mustang intake on it. It is not an HO i am guessing due to the firing order. So my questions are what is the difference between my HO engine in my stang and this motor and what all can I do to it performance wise because I heard I can't even change the cam due to the pistons. True? I would really appreciate it!

a non-HO 302 had a different firing order, changing the cam to a 1986 HO cam will give you a nice boost in performance aswell as keeping within the limit of hitting the flat-top pistons, all other performance options are just like 1987+, the only thing keeping you back is the cam and the flat-top pistons
@Shelty, long story
EDIT heres a nice read
