guide plate problems.
I recently bought a 89 gt.306 withh/c/i, e-303,gt-40's, INT1.6 & 1.7 EXH rockers. while running it on the dyno to see where i was before adding the S/C it blew a head gasket so my mechanicsuggested while the heads were off we should sendthem offhave everything checked out.Theguy @ the shop said the valves were in bad shape and it was because the guide plates were not big enough for the valves causing the rockers to be crooked. i was wondering what some of my options are? Any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated.

RE: guide plate problems.
Id get my heads back and replace the gasket with something better.
Thats a bunch of bull ****, 90% of roller rockers are self centering, and if your valves were bad, the car would not run right.
Must of ran into a novince.
