oil pressure does not come from the pump it comes from the bearings on the crankshaft, and the reason for your oil pump to snap the shaft is it was probably installed wrong or you may have missed it when you put your dis in....What ever the case you need to drop your oil pan and pull that oil pump off....your oil pump runs off your dist, that gear on your dis drives the oil pump, if thats not locked in on the bottom, you have no oil flowing to the top of the engine...
Re if you have no oil pressure or oil pressure is low your bearings are worn, what was the extent of you build how deep did you go into the motor...if the bearings were done the clearances are too tight so oil cannot get to crank journals

i understand all of this i changed the oil pump and thats what i found it has NOTHING to do with me putting it in wrong ....no who ever rebuilt the engine may have ...and i know this that is wh y i replaced it the oil pump is less than a day old and everything is lined up i checked it ...not easy but i did it ........i do wish i knew how deep they went when it was rebuilt .....thanks though man i wish there was an easy fix last night i noticed my spark plugs are arching so im going towards that next lol
