Were all 351w motors from 93 through 95 all roller motors or were only the lightning motors roller types.

so even the regular f150s were equipt with the 351w roller motor as well, not just the Lightning, just want to find out so that I can look into eventually locating one and knowing what years to look for will really help and save some money as well since lightning motors seem a bit pricey.

Simply look for the casting number on the block (starter side), if it starts with F4TE, it's a roller ready block.

Does that mean that they were not a true roller motor or what needs to be done to use a cam like the ones in our 5.0s.

you'd need the lifter bar retainer and h-bars and maybe tap the two holes for retainer.. but they are compatible with roller cams
