Are all 351w from 93-95 Roller motors
Were all 351w motors from 93 through 95 all roller motors or were only the lightning motors roller types.

i am pretty sure the roller 351's were from 94-98

so even the regular f150s were equipt with the 351w roller motor as well, not just the Lightning, just want to find out so that I can look into eventually locating one and knowing what years to look for will really help and save some money as well since lightning motors seem a bit pricey.

Look for casting number F4TE, lightning engines were roller blocks but cam with flat tappet hyd cams

Simply look for the casting number on the block (starter side), if it starts with F4TE, it's a roller ready block.

they started 351 rollers in 94

Does that mean that they were not a true roller motor or what needs to be done to use a cam like the ones in our 5.0s.

you'd need the lifter bar retainer and h-bars and maybe tap the two holes for retainer.. but they are compatible with roller cams
