does the new k-member call for different length tie rod ends? id contact the manufacturer to see whats up. you should have at least 1 to 1.5" of thread engagement to be on the safe side. im pretty sure the v8 inner and outer tie rods are the same so its not that. does the new k-member increase track width possibly causing the problem? hope ya figure it out

Pics would be a great help. Did you remove the outer tie rods? If so, why? And why do you have a 4 cyl rack? A lil more info needed.

the wheel base on a 4 banger vs a 5.0 shouldn't be any different.. nor are the spindles...well actually they are but the parrallel that of a 85-86 10 inch rotor set up and I used a k-member kit on my 85 with such and the rack didn't give me any probs.....might want to measure a 5.0 rack and a 4 cyl one and compare the two

what you can do is go down to your local parts store and have them pull both off the shelf and measure the two.. that way you could eliminate the problem
