Default Will aod trannys from other cars work in our 5.0's?
My buddy needs a new tranny, he said hes just going to get a used one from the wreckers. They told him they have one out of a lincoln/merc or something...i dont know if they are exactly the same as a stang aod. were there any years that other vehicles got the same tranny? if so, please help with wat models and years.

passanger car AOD'S SHOULD WORK....if you get one at a salvage yard just compare it to yours

They are all basically the same.
The main difference is the gear select lever and the TV lever. These can be swapped off of the original AOD.

Make sure its an AOD AUTOMATIC OVER-DRIVE

NOT AN AODE AUTOMATIC OVER-DRIVE ELECTRICAL
