What is the difference in gt40p, gt40x, cobra gt40, and regular gt40 heads? which ones make the best power?

gt40x make the best there aftermarket ford racing aluminum heads there 1.94 1.54 178 intake 62 exhaust port in either 58 or 64 cc head, gt40s and cobras are the same thing there 160 53 with 1.84 1.54 and a 62-64 chamber. gt40ps have a smaller combustion chamber and 1.46 exhaust valve with straight plug design without an angle, from what ive heard gt40ps makea little bit more power because they ahve better exhaust flow but i dont know first hand.I got the x's on my car blue oval ahs em for a grand assembled. Theres also the y heads but ford doesntmake them anymore there the exact same specs as the gt40 irons except there aluminum and you could only buy them bare, and they have trouble with valve guides, probably just because they get assembled wrong by the person.

personally I'd choose the X heads out of the three but overall none as there are better options to choose from on the market

Just as stated above... GT40X are aluminum heads wheras GT40/GT40P's are iron. P's have a straight plug design and make a little more power because of it. They burn the air/fuel faster and more complete. X's are the better out of the three but if you're going to spend that money you're better off paying a little more and getting a nice set of AFR's or TFTW's, much better choice.

regular gt40s and cobra gt40s. cobras are the same casting, but milled from the factory for higher compression. look up the specs...
