Default AOD Q's

Ok so I bought a b/m shift improver kit. I installed it and it shifts firmer but not as firm as it should be. Basically when I installed it I changed all the springs to the street strip collors. With the kit you need to drill 4 holes in the seperator plate. They give you 2 drill bits that are diffrent sizes. The bigger for the towing kit and the smaller for the street strip. 3 of the 4 holes were already the size of the larger bit. I could only drill one hole with the smaller bit. Now it wont bark the tires and is not as firm of a shift as it should be. I had the same kit in my nova with a turbo 350 and it would shift alot firmer. So has anybody else had this problem? Is it possible that the trans is out of a truck or something? Or was there a diffrence in seperator plates between years? By the way it is an 88 gt. Thanks.

Yea it works but it dosent shilt as hard as it should. Just kinda disapointed a guess.

I had one in my firebird and it was a 16 sec car but between shifts ..it'd bark the tires

yea thats like how my nova was. I am almost tempted to buy a new seperator plate and pull it all apart and redo it, but I just guess I will have to wait until next time I change the fluid.
