from everything i know, you would need a custom manifold to mount it on a 5.0. Ive only seen these blowers on 3.8's.

But i may be wrong

yeah you need to have a custom intake made and that will cost a lot more than you are willing. that and that supercharger doesnt put out a whole lot of boost for a 5.0 there is a reason it was made for a 3.8

Yea dont waste your money on something like that its not worth all the time consuming work you would have to do to make it work!!

It's very doable & a decent power gain. One of my friends dynod 276rwhp on a completely stock engine using one of my pullies at 8psi. That was with stock heads, cam, & intake. The only thing done was headers. That was with an unported m90 & untuned.

Those superchargers do NOT have to be mounted on the intake manifold, you can remote mount them anywhere providing you have room & the belt can get to the pulley. You can still use the cobra upper & lower intake. You will have to make a bracket for it though and you will have to modify the throttle body linkage (which isn't that hard if you're kinda handy & use bicycle brake cable ), the throttle must be placed before the supercharger.

As far as using the m90 on a 5.0. It's perfectly fine to use on a stock or near stock 5.0 in stock form. Doing a little work on it will make it a very nice supercharger for one & will work great even with a few bolt ons. You can massage the inlet & outlet for a decent flow increase aswell as weld the sound slits shut i'd recommend you let a shop do it so you don't risk warping the case any, I always take the ones I use to professionals for the slits. The rest can be done with a dremel. Welding the slits shut will make the whine pretty loud at wot. i personally like it though the sound slits are only worth about 6-10 hp though & if you like quiet, aren't worth it.
You can probably get around 400hp out of it with bolt ons & cam, but its a bit too small for the 400+ hp range.

Good news about remote mounting it is you can run an intercooler with it aswell which has it's benefits & downfalls. It will increase power & lower the charge temp so you can run a little more timing. Downside is the further away from the engine the throttle body is the slower the response. Trust me though, throttle response even with the front mount is not bad in the least bit. It's a little more snappy mounted on the lower intake, but both work well.

For mounting you can use by the alternator, relocate the battery & run it there, or run it where the smog is/was & remove the smog. You'll have to make a bracket which could ideally bolt to where the a/c/power steering bolts are (for a drivers side mount, or where the alternator/smog is for a passenger side mount. It should only take 2-3 pieces of steel for the bracket unless you do some funky design.

Personally though.... I really dont think a used m90 is worth anywhere near $550. I wouldn't spend over $300 on one complete. You'll probably want to replace the coupler & needle bearings in the rear aswell (only about $30 for both though)

The kits are fairly easy to make though providing you or a friend can weld or have a shop weld it. The bracket is pretty simple to make for the 5.0 though.

You will need to upgrade the fuel system though... you can't just bolt it on & expect it to run well.

They actually used to produce a complete kit utilizing the M90. It never caught on though. I'd save for a vortech or something. KB would be sweet though too
