AC issue
Hello all,
I am having some issues with my AC.
I bought this 91 gt 5 speed last August and the guy just spend $700 on fixing the AC. For the rest of that summer the AC was freezing cold.
A couple days ago I tried it and it blows VERY strong but cool/warm air. I kept the AC on for 10 mins at AC Max (High) with same results. I even shut it off and on and from blue to red.
I shut the car off the tried again. Cold as hell. I drove the car and it was Very cold. Shut the car off and tried 4 hours later and still cold. Next day tried and cool/warm.
Any ideas??
Thanks,
Fairlee

RE: AC issue
yes sir, look under the hoodand see if the center piece of the clutch is spinning whentheA/C is on, when the A/C is off the center piece of the clutch systemshouldnt be spinning, so note if the clutch is working when you notice the "cold/hot" air comming out of the vents, now that could meanthree things if it isnt working properly (the clutch system that is), A. clutch is junk, B. the connection to the clutch is junk or C. the sensor on thetank by your heater core/ shock tower

RE: AC issue
the hole compressor unit is located east of the alternator north of power steering pump and north east of the water pump, if that doesn help i dunno what to tell you lol, but anyways the clutch is the hole font unit of compressor and is driven by the belt, so pretty much the part that is resting on the belt is the clutch assembly
hopefully that helps
hopefully that helps
