AOD to C4 ?s
After some thought I think I might be going with a C4 out of a F-150 (should be fairly easy to find seeing as how all the j/y around here dont have an AOD and I cant afford a new one or a rebuild). My questionsare what will have to be changed to make it work? Will the shifter linkage need to be modified? Also what vin code should I look for? I know itshould be an inline6 or a 302from 1965-83 but other then that what doIneed to look for?The driveshaft should work fine correct? Sorry if I have a lot of questions but I am not sure about transmissions, 12 volts I know but trans im [sm=wtf.gif]. Thanks for any and all help, cant wait to get this beast on the road. Just bought it and havent been able to enjoy it. UGH!!

RE: AOD to C4 ?s
why dont you just find an AOD out of any vehicle? like, t-birds, taurus, f-150, mustang, some vans i think all had them, im sure you could find one if you looked yourself instead of askign the people at the junkyard

RE: AOD to C4 ?s
302, that is the route I am probably going to go after doing some research. I was having a serious brain fart and never once did it dawn on me other cars would have them too . I guess I was just so stressed over everything my mind overlooked that fact. Would they only be behind V8's or would the straight sixes and other 6 cylinders have them too (aod that is)?
