Dyno tune questions
What do they do when you get a dyno tune on a foxbody stang? Is it a custom chip made for the car, or is the computer itself tuned? Does it involve anything other than computer tuning? And one last thing, what does it cost do have done?

RE: Dyno tune questions
A chip is not always needed, it's according to what you got. Most of the time you can get by with FP and Timing adjustments.. Priceing depends on the shop. What mods are dont to your engine?

RE: Dyno tune questions
depends on the wildness of build....sometimes fuel mapping is changed and timing curves are adjusted in the scaler tables and idle can be altered a little and depending on how good the tuner is he can correct issues that occur with drivibility in open loop phase

RE: Dyno tune questions
typically a custom burn
but it depends if you have problems, or just trying to tweak it
if you have any problems at all..... they will just burn a chip, otherwise you'll spend countless hours trying to fix stuff, that they can just specify what they want it to do w/ the new burn for about $500, and then $250 for every time you burn after that w/ new major mods
