Yes, it should work. But honestly, H/F tools of that nature are not to accurate. Think about it like this, you wouldn't put inferior parts on your car, why would you use them to test it?

It is all a toss up, I bought a spare for home at the same time as my dad when they had a sale, mine is dead on with other, my dads is consistently 2psi off. I am a Harbor Freight junkie but you have to understand that it is not the best quality..... but is cheap and works for the most part.
