Default trans help

just bought a 89 gt. i bought the car with a known problem in the trans. it was scratching 2,3,and 4th. i pulled the trans and had it looked at. a syncro spring. popped out and was missing a syncro. so i new ones put back in and put the trans back in. but still the same problem. still scratches gears. gets stuck in 4th. and has a hard time getting into 5th. gear. i have a b&m ripper shifter, non adjustable clutch cable with a steeda quadrant on the car. any ideas on whats wrong?

the sincro/ gear hubs need to be inspected for damaged/ mushroomed flat teeth...if that is the case ...hmm what a suprise on a t-5[&:]...anyway it'll be more cost effective to get another tranny.....but the blocker ring friction material for those gears that mates to the sincro hub may be worn to= need to inspect them

and to add to that, your clutch cable may need to be adjusted with an adjustable cable or firewall adjuster.
