Default cuz no one in general wants to help

and cuz this is technically, tech ([&:]) help me plan my build. 1989 Mustang GT I would like to hit about 300 crank hp This will be a DD car, so it definitely needs to be streetable. And here’s what I think could help me: The following top end kit from late model: http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/...1&comp=LRS
( I would be rebuilding the engine before, or when I buy the TE kit)
TB/MAF sensor
3.73 gears
Subframe connectors (weld in of course)
Suspension work (ill need some help in this section)
5-lug conversion (I wana be able to upgrade the brakes, I like stopping)
Upgraded fuel system-(Im not sure what injectors, pump ect I need so your help is also Appreciated)
Ignition upgrade (prob an msd set up)
Alternator upgrade
Shorty headers, with a catted h-pipe (cali ftl), and good cat-back
A good tune
What Im really worried about is the fail class t-5.
Im pretty sure that the -89 cars got the 265lb-ft capable t-5
Now I know that the tranny can be beefed up to a worthy competitor, but is it worth it?
Should I look into building the t-5 or is it less hassle to just get an after market tranny?

Anyways: Money really isn’t an issue. This will be a slow build and ill only put things in when I can afford to do it RIGHT.
Slow and steady wins the race. That will be my philosophy with this build.
I would really appreciate your suggestions here. I want to know exactly what im going to do

well with 300 crank hp you will not need to upgrade your injectors. you tranny will be fine with that power but if you want I would recommend g-force gears.[/align]

if your only looking for 300 crank hp..just buy the trickflow top kit and or piece together a gt-40 set up and that should get your goal

yeah heads and intake will get you 300 at the crank

personally i think the t5 is a great trans, 5k launches on slicks are the big hurt on them. use cheaters and keep your launch around 3500 and running mid-hi 12's like you want , it will stay together for a long time

Personally I would get the trick flow kit over the Ford Racing. It is about the same price and the trick flow will give you more power. 24# injectors wont hurt with a 75mm MAF and 70mm t/b. For brakes get sn-95 spindles with Cobra 13" rotors and dual piston calibers. The rear you will need a sn-95 set-up upgraded to Cobra 11.65" specs

thanks guys
pro if you havent already, delete the other thread

so from advice this is how it stands:
Trick-flow top end kit.
3.73's-frpp, or motive
Rebuild engine
Rebuild t-5
alternator, ignition ect
Shorties, catted h-pipe,cat-back
how big a system should i go with?
i know too big a diameter can hurt me here

oh btw:
does 24# injectors = 24 lb/hr?
and what does cheaters mean?
