Need help with AOD Kickdown cable
Hey guys,
Got a bit of a situation and need some input. I've an AOD tranny out of 92 Lincoln Mark VII. I'm putting it into a Ford Ranger that has 94 Cobra motor in it. I've got everything I need to put this transmission in except for a kickdown cable. For the life of me I can't find one, local junk yards aren't helping. I do have access to one temporarily but i still need to find one. This isn't my biggest issue, the problem I have is that I realize that a 94 Cobra had an AODE in it which didn't even have a kickdown cable. Is there even a place on the throttle body in which i can attach a kickdown cable? I was looking online at a picture of a Cobra TB and think i see one, correct me if i'm wrong but would it attach to the hole you see in the top left of the bracket in this picture or even on the bottom left: (http://www.brothersperformance.com/c...ance_parts.jpg)
What do you guys suggest i do about this? I know lokar makes a kickdown cable for the AOD (http://store.summitracing.com/partde...700+4294925134) But this is for a carbeurator setup. Is there any possible way to use this on an EFI application like mine?
Thanks in advance for any input on this!
