I hooked my distributor up to my old coil and the same issues occured. Is there a posibility that it could be the hall effect switch. I dont think that i have a crankshaft position sensor do i??
no crank sensor per say the pick up coil/stator in the dizzy performs a similar function that a crank sensor does in that it Id'scylinder tdc whose sidnal is transferd/amplified through the tfi and sent to ecm and inturn the input data from the tfi/pip signal the ecm knows to fire injector pulse width and trigger coil saturation hence creating a spark transfered to the secondary ignition components

I know that the hall effect switch does the same thing as a crank sensor, but if it was screwed up, wouldnt that throw my timing out of wack??
