351 swap

351 swap
i've been debating whether to do h/c/i or just swap a 351 in the ol' pony....i've been hearing the swap aint that hard.....i can get a 351c with 10k miles for $1000!!now i want know how "easy" the swap is and what do i need to modify

You're gunna need motor mounts, headers/manifolds, bell housing for a manual, or a new trans for an auto, crossmember, and a hood. If you go carb then you don't have to worry about electronics, but if it's efi you'll need a harness. It's really not that hard and either a 351w or a 351c will deliver in the power department.

im considering the cleveland cause my buddy wants to get rid of it....i want to keep it carb since its just going to be a weekend car.....and im thinking of doing h/c before it goes in the car.....whats the difference between a cleveland and windsor??!?

YOU DO NOT NEED MOTOR MOUNTS!! A 351C swap doesnt require any more parts than a Windsor swap but stock for stock, nothing outperforms a Cleveland. The main dissadvantage is weight. I have performed this swap on others cars, but not on my own because its alot of weight to put on the nose of a foxbody. Is it a 4V or 2V engine? If its a 4V, a headswap would be a waste of money.
