Replaced headgasketsCar wont start
My car was overheating, and I had oil in the coolant so I went ahead and tore it apart
I replaced the headgaskets, manifold gasket, etc, with the Fel Pro gasket set
I tightened everything down using a torque wrench and the proper ft/lbs etc
I made sure to connect all cables, vacuum, and the 2 ground straps behind the heads
Prior to this I marked the distributor at the shaft, and at the pointer and it all matched up when I put the distributor back in-
The only thing I haven't done is reallign and retighten the headers to the cats/exhaust- and I tightened the throttle body without first installing a gasket is this critical?
I try to start the car and I hear it stumbling, sometimes even almost starting, but nothing I eventually killed my battery from trying to start it over and over.
Before I give up on this POS- Any ideas on what it could be?
Would it be the timing, even through the distributor went back in to the same location??
Did I miss a vacuum or ground strap?
If it's the timing, what's the easiest way to set it correctly? I'm a noob when it comes to this
Thanks

RE: Replaced headgasketsCar wont start
I would not know the proper way to 'adjust' the rockers. I tightened them down using this tutorial http://www.allfordmustangs.com//tech...intakeswap.pdf. Torqued them down to 18/lbs- shoot now that I look at it, it tells me to turn the crankshaft bolt until I can see both lifters on cylinder #1 at their lowest position. :O Did I break something? Time to take it all apart again?
